Very comfortable but there are two versions of this shoe. Read the description carefully.

I was looking for a good shoe that would be comfortable riding in hot weather. I ordered these initially in the black microfiber and then switched to the blue simply because I liked the color. I didn't realize that the blue version uppers are constructed from a reinforced mesh, not a microfiber. That worked out perfectly. I was concerned that the microfiber would be too hot for intense gravel rides and events in the sun. The mesh provides excellent ventilation and as a result hot spots caused by the SPD cleats are minimal. It also seems pretty durable although I haven't had them for that long. Barring anything weird like a tear I am expecting them to last for some time. I used Lake's "Find Your Fit" link and then worked with a customer service rep to dial it in. The fit is just right. They are nearly as comfortable as the Lake lace-up SPD shoes that I bought in the late 1990s and still use to this day.
