Wrap Sack 20° Sleeping Bag - Watercolor Glow

Excited!

Received my Rumpl sleeping bag and it is beautiful! Tried it out, and I am very happy with the freedom of movement. Being both of a larger build and claustrophobic, the last thing I want is to be zipped into a small space. The form and function of this bag will allow me to stay warm, also allow me to attach additional Rumpl blankets via the clips to add to the warmth value if needed, while moving the various layers allows me to vent it for use in spring and summer as well. It is the most versatile sleeping bag I have ever had!! The quality is excellent. I did not experience any loose threads and the stitching is great. The clips are a bit finicky and I would urge caution to grasp the supporting framework of the clip when attaching/detaching them to ensure the bag isn’t damaged. The materials are comfortable to sleep on. Great job Rumpl! What would be even more fabulous is if a wider bag (+ 5 in) could be offered so that an active side sleeper like myself could feel comfortable with clipping the inner clasps so the bag stays with me as I move in my sleep! (Hint; hint!) That being said; this is the best single size sleeping bag I have ever experienced and it is reasonably priced. For car camping; perfect. For backpacking it is a bit large and heavy. But for the luxury and comfort, I am willing to carry the weight!

Sometimes a Not-so Great Notion

The fabric and filling are great and keep you warm when it’s 40 F and damp. However, the notions aren’t great. The clips holding layers together are small, difficult to manage with cold hands, and don’t pull apart easily. You have to be careful so the seam doesn’t rip where the clip is sewn in. The zipper pull could be bigger. There is only one toggle on the drawstring that cinches the top around a pillow or head. You have one side to cinch and not too. The stuff sack doesn’t have loops or tabs to hang onto while you pull the sleeping bag out of its stuff sack. I’m afraid I’m going to rip something.

Comfy and warm

This bag is fantastic. Roomy and comfortable in addition to being able to adjust the warmth factor as the night/early morning temperatures progresses.
