Yes, it's "just a plastic sheet", but it's also the perfect material for cats to shuffle around and pounce on! The noise encourages play and rearranging it always entices them back to it. Pairs really well with the cardboard tunnels, and is big enough for multiple cats to feel like they have enough space to play next to each other. It's helping my older male cat accept & play with our new younger male cat. Thank you!

Just got the order today, my cat is an older cat 17, and he loves it, hes zoomed around on it a few times out of the box and laid on his back, which he rarely does. He likes the fringes, and the sound it makes once he moves on it. Wish i'd gotten it years ago, cat toy can be tricky as they often will play with the box they come in more than the toy, but so far not in this case (also prob helps that it came in with an order of silvervine as well.
