Vibratory Pump Air Release Valve

Revived!

Unfortunately my original 20 year old QM Anita had sat unused and neglected for a couple of years. I went through it trying to get it back up and running like it once did but there was an issue not building brew pressure, maybe 2-4 bar max. I narrowed down the possibilities and contacted the help at Chris coffee and they confirmed that between these 2 items I was replacing that I would be back and brewing. I rebuilt the OPV and also rebuilt the pump. Installed everything and instantly hit 8 bar, a little adjustment and hitting 9 consistently. I'd imagine that this machine with proper maintenance could outlive me.

About 2 weeks ago my QM Silvano Evo started making gurgling noises from the short return hose in the water tank when the machine had warmed up. The techs at CC gave me instructions on how to diagnose the problem isolating the issue to the air release valve. When the part arrived I spoke to them again about how to approach the repair. They shared caveats and tips which made the repair less formidable. In the end from the whole process was a piece of cake.
