Northwest Dark blend is a wonderful dark roast coffee featuring beans from Colombia, Ethiopia, and Sumatra. This roast is rich and full-bodied. The aromatic notes on this coffee lean more to the forest like earthy notes.

Giving it 2 instead of 1 stars because maybe it's partially my fault for not consulting with Chris's people to inquire before ordering? That said, I've been able to extract great shots with almost any beans, decaf or caff with our gear after tweaking enough. . . except these beans. Only bitter shots--a bit less so after adjusting temp. They may be great for pourover or French, but couldn't get it dialed in with our Alex Izzo Duetto IV and Ceado E37S. Will try to beans that Mike recommends instead as we've only had great beans from Chris's before trying these latest two.

Ultra Dark Roast
This coffee is very good in milk drinks and has a classic Italian espresso dark or Vienna roast profile. The beans are literally oily to the touch. I was expecting them to be a bit less dark. Over all I am not displeased just not fully expecting this level of "dark" roast. My personal preference has drifted to a less dark roast personally
