Prolific and delicious
We grew these for the first time in 2025. 4 plants, started indoors. We're in zone 9a, inland desert of SoCal. They were in large decorative pots, black 10 gallon, or large ice tubs from Smart and Final. Each one in full sun. We harvested them small and large, grilling them with some oil and herbs. They get seedy around softball size. Occasionally one would be yellowish instead of purple and those didn't taste quite right. We saved a lot of seeds and recommend this variety.

Perfect name
The fruits are large and lush and very beautiful. The flesh is smooth and creamy when cooked whole on the grill. The seed pockets are easy to remove. I grow them in pots. This year there was a Japanese beetle attack - the plant was totally unfazed.
