It's plastic—i knew this and still purchased because of its intended function which is does very well. However, since the construction of it is so technical with its moving parts and the amount of force you can apply to it, to work the muscle, I feel like it's very very flimsy. For its price I think they could've have gone aluminum, but whatever. It's function is genuinely really really effective.
