Favorite Variety for Willamette Valley

I have grown Nautic for three seasons. After trying Marte and Igor, I now only grow this one. I sow around summer solstice to grow transplants and spray aphids off with a hose every few days during late summer/early fall. Given this treatment, Nautic’s sprouts look better by Thanksgiving than Marte’s, and have good sprouts well through Igor’s harvest window too. I like to stake them so they don’t tip over.

Wonderful germination!

These plants are off to a great start. Some of the fastest germinating seeds we’ve had and the starts are very healthy out in the garden now. Looking forward to winter harvests!

So far so good

I was able to get this started and it's in the raised bed now. Nice germination rate. Hope it keeps going well and doesn't provide a snack for any pests.
