Interlude Man

Interlude Man is heavy, dense, overcrowded, oppressive, overrated.

Thank god for samples, and for Scent Split. I always thought Amouage must be something special because of the hype and the high prices they charge, and Interlude kept coming up on Fragrantica as something I would like. I did not like. It's just too much, "too many notes," as Salieri says in the movie Amadeus. It lacks structure. I am sure there are people who think this is wonderful and luxurious. I think it's clumsy. I am intensely relieved not to have wasted hundreds of dollars on something I don't like. What do I like better? Serge Lutens Participe Passe, or CDG Black, or Donna Karan Black Cashmere.

Interlude man from Amouage is a wonderful fragrance. The dry down is where it shines. Long lasting although too much for high heat. I will be getting a full bottle.
