I'm a fan of strong, black coffee. Saw Contact on Facebook and looked them up. As an ex matelot, always happy to support compnies run by veterans.
This coffee is off the charts !!!. I don't normally get the much talked about caffeine hit, but I certainly knew I had had some serious caffeine after my first cup of RED ON.
I'll be back for more.

You know that “I just wish I could get a damn good cup of coffee” feeling that’s been annoying you for ages? You’re fed up with cheap dishwater juice, instant rat-pack freeze dried mud granules, or overpriced branded brown hot water in fancy chains ? Me too.
I was given a battle bag on a hike by my oppo. Boiling water from the JetBoil, leave it for a couple of minutes and bang! There it was…just what I’d been after since Adam was a lad.
I found Contact Coffee online and ordered the coffee selection in of all things an ammo box! That’s brilliant thinking; it keeps the air out, stops ickle fingers from breaking in and keeps the gaffer happy because it keeps all the bags squared away.
Two weeks in and if I’m in a rush the grounds go through my one cup filter machine, if I’m flush with time, it’s the Bialletti on the stove top (tip: don’t rush it, no higher than 7 on an electric hob and let it just bubble along …nectar of the Gods!) or if it’s on the hills, it’s my AeroPress.
Any way of brewing, I’m sitting there with a smug grin like a Cheshire Cat!
I’m now into “Shots Fired”: different but equally appealing.
To top it off I’ve put a couple of bags of Red On on constant repeat…and bought another ammo box for work when I’m outdoors and need a secure air tight box for my gear.

Here's your coffee review, soldier-style:
---
**MISSION DEBRIEF: Operation Morning Thunder**
**Classification: HIGHLY CAFFEINATED**
Listen up, troops. I'm going to tell you about the day Red On Contact coffee beans saved my life — or at the very least, saved my 0600 briefing from being an absolute disaster.
I was pinned down. Surrounded on all sides by a brutal enemy known only as "Monday." Morale was at an all-time low. Men were yawning. Someone had the audacity to wear slippers to the command post. We were in bad shape.
Then intel arrived in the form of a bag of Red On Contact beans.
I cannot tell you what happened next without getting a little emotional. The aroma alone was enough to snap Sergeant Davies out of whatever fog he'd been living in since 2019. The TASTE? Son, I've been decorated twice, survived three overseas tours and one particularly savage team-building retreat in the Scottish Highlands — and nothing, *nothing*, has brought me to my knees like that first sip.
Command has since mandated Red Contact as standard field equipment. Right alongside the radio and the first aid kit. Because frankly, what is the point of patching a man up if he's too tired to appreciate it?
If the enemy ever discovers what we're drinking over here, it's over. We will be *unstoppable.*
