I made the vest
I modified the pattern to knit in the round. I left one shoulder open and closed it with velcro. I also used sock weight yarn from stash.

School sweater 18” doll
The pattern was easy to follow. I decreased more stitches at the armholes as didn’t want the band overhanging the shoulder.

Best I could find
Fist off I must say I wish it was purchasable through ravelry or Etsy as I don’t like purchasing from individual sites- but it did work and came through appropriately. Second, the pattern itself is better than any other pattern for Harry Potter doll sweaters and is only v-neck I could find which was great. It also fits build a bears. The one thing I did have to do is adjust pattern as it made the back bigger than the front which was strange and had to reduce the pattern by about 6 stitches to start and had to modify the length and arm size as well. As long as you are experienced you will figure out how to modify for specific doll - but I would suggest making one up first. Good news is I got about 3 sweaters per skein of yarn which was great.
