Oh, this is a great chef's knife. I have been using one for maybe 3 years now. This purchase is to have one around for a special gift. I have used many excellent chef's knives and in all price ranges. This is the one that I like the best. The balance is excellent. Seldom is sharpening required. The knife is beautiful too.
