This is a good scent, its just not a match for 1872. This fragrance smells more like a mix of Clive Christian X and Clive Christian Town and Country. It may need to macerate, but I doubt it. DUA is usually spot on with their fragrances, this one was a miss.

Vivid Flame is one of my new favorites. Though it is suppose to be inspired by Clive Christian 1872, and some believe it’s closer to 1872 Vetiver, this fragrance really isn’t similar to either. To me it’s a fragrance of its own, and a fabulous one. To me Vivid Flame is way more dense and dark then either 1872 or 1872 Vetiver. This fragrance has a very wearable smokiness that is lovely and non-offensive. It makes this Chypre a perfect year round signature scent for any man aged 25+. Maybe Clive Christian should consider cloning your fragrance instead. It’s way more unique…
