This is a great product at a fair price.

I use this oil exclusively to maintain my metal planes and for all metal components (irons and soles) of wooden or transition planes. It works wonderfully. I’ve had zero rust or patina develop on any of my planes since using this product, even when I accidentally leave shavings in the mouth of a plane. A word of caution, though: make sure to wipe off any excess oil before storing your plane in a plane till, as the oil can and will seep into unfinished wood and potentially darken it. I apply a combination of walnut oil and beeswax in a 3:1 ratio to my plane till to ensure that this isn’t an issue.

So far so good. I have just begun using this oil on my planes and chisels, and am building the muscle memory to apply it regularly when I use the tools.
