I received this as a free sample when ordering the Rancilio Rocky. I consider myself a coffee (and tea) connoisseur. I either hand grind my beans or use my Rancilio. I order beans from all over the country and Canada from artisan roasters and bigger ones. I read the Coffee review for ratings. I store beans in airtight containers by Airscape. Espresso craft in this country has gone in the direction of sweetness, partly perhaps a reflection of our food tastes. What has been missed is that this roast, while providing a luscious espresso, fails as a cappuccino or for someone who say enjoys a bolder taste. An Italian style coffee experience jolt. In all my trials, this blend by JL Hufford has become my benchmark. It has sweetness but it also has the power to punch through milk. It is two tiered, providing the warm chocolate notes as well as the bracing dark roast notes. It satisfies consistently . A great cappuccino perhaps must be made with a blend. Well done. A fine and artful creation.
