Arabian Horse

It is not the closest one in a good way! That Vanilla-Tobacco scent profile has so many staples like Tobacco Vanille Naxos Herod and some more that is difficult to mimic. So in the opening to my nose it reminds me of Blonde Amber/ Naxos wheelhouse. Then at the dry down gets 87%-92% close to Herod wich is fantastic! The quality on the ingredients and bottle is top notch. Fast shipping a free sample. Alexandria fragrances a win win situation for the customer.

Better than the inspiration

I was searching for a fragrance similar to Herod but longer lasting. I've had success with a couple previous Alexandria fragrances so I blind purchased Arabian Horse. They open off with different characters but clearly in the same vanilla, tobacco, spicy category. Very much a go to for fall/winter. Arabian Horse opens with a more intense spicy incense vibe that I really enjoy. Herod is the softer overall fragrance and more vanilla to my nose at first. As they dry down they become more similar. However, Arabian Horse continues with the most balanced phase of the fragrance for significantly longer. Very pleased find this fragrance better overall than the inspiration.
