Italian Taralli - Various flavors - 1 or 2 Pounds - Frank and Sal Bakery

I don't know who is writing all of these glowing reviews?

I have ordered these with fennel twice and both times they were so stale that I had to make sure that I had liquid near me so that I didn't choke. They also seemed light on olive oil which may have also contributed to them being dry. The taralli I received I received should have been thrown out, not shipped. As a kid my grandmother would make 20 lbs. of taralli every 2 weeks and I've eaten taralli from California to Italy. When I would dunk them in milk or coffee, they actually had a really great taste. Frank and Sal I know that you know how to make quality taralli, don't skimp. I would rather wait a little longer and get fresh taralli. I would also be willing to pay a little more to eat taralli with a little more olive oil in it. With a few small changes they should have all 5's , but I'm going to have to give them a 2. For now I won't be purchasing taralli from Frank and Sal, unless I hear that they have changed their way. I'm very sad to have to write this as they are sitting on a pot of gold.
