Replacement Suction Pads (Set of 4)

They arrived on time. And once installed on my Tonewood amp sounds great on my guitar again.

Initially had problems mounting the Tonewood Amp on my guitar. Had bad feedback. Contacted Tonewood Amp folks and they had me move it more toward the bottom of the guitar. When I did this, I connected the magnet and some of the wires inside the guitar. That caused it to do bad things, but got that fixed. Tonewood amp sent me more adhesive backing for the magnet. Finally got it mounted properly. Sooo Cooool! My wife immediately noticed the difference - it was amazing and I love it! I've bought a second mount for my new guitar. Easy to change from on guitar to another. The Tonewood Amp folks are super to work with. Thanks guys!

On the plus side, the pads snug the device securely to the back of my guitar. However, they act more like double stick tape than microsuction. They work fairly well on my satin finish D-15. But on my gloss J-45 and D-18, the pads grip so tightly that they are destroyed when I try to remove the tonewood amp in order to fit the guitar back into its case - and they leave half the pad in fragments stuck to the back of the guitar that I then have to carefully remove without damaging the nitrocellulose finish. I have had fun playing unplugged with acoustic effects. But I suspect once the novelty has worn off I’ll probably ditch the Tonewood Amp and go back to my pedalboard - in large part because of the poor performance of the pads, and fear of damaging the finish on my guitars.
