BT3 Bass Xtender™

Quick shipping, easy installation, stable tuning. What’s not to like? I have Hipshot drop tuners on two other basses, but was not 100% sure the BT3 would fit this bass correctly. The bass is a MIJ Fernandes Revival-series RPB70 from the early 1980’s. It’s a convincing reissue of a 57 Pbass, and I was happy that the BT3 fit perfectly and all screw holes lined right up.

Once I got tuner installed correctly, it was great! After some minor adjustments it drops tuning to low D and returns to right back in tune to E. This is going to be fun, adding some variety to a few tunes!

I ended up needing to return the unit and I am still waiting on return authorization and instructions from Hipshot. Let multiple voicemails and emails with no response. They make great products but I’m disappointed in the service.
