First uncomfortable shoe

My foot fit well, or atleast I thought it did. But the side of my foot (where my big toe joint is) and pinky toe were hurting almost immediately. Maybe because its only leather on the outside and man made material on the inside so there is no give. If the straps were 100% leather the straps would have conformed to the shape of my foot. I think the only option to make me want to wear these again is cutting off the back strap and wearing as a slip on. For some reason when I walked around without the back strap there was no pressure in the above spots on my foot/toe.

Tight toe band

It seams like new designs are tight on the toe band . Like it is for wide but skinny feet. The toe box is wide but those bands on the top are tight and make it narrower than the platform itself. It is forcing my toes to the side and it hurts. It seems like all of the new designs are having the same issue. I ordered the sandals with the bow and I am going to return it it is feel narrow like a regular shoe. I am keeping this one bcz I need a shoe and I am trying to make it wider using heat. But the purpose of these shoes are to be wide. Even my feet looks suffocated in the image
