Gold Package

The product page does not clearly disclose that the laser comes in two different sizes and is not universally compatible with all training barrels. This is a significant omission that should be made clear on the Gold Package product page. I was also disappointed with the customer service response when I raised this concern. I purchased multiple training barrels with the reasonable expectation that a single laser would work across all of them. Because this compatibility limitation was not clearly disclosed on the Gold Package product page, I believe the company should have made the situation right rather than placing the burden on the customer. Instead, I was told I could return the laser at my own expense, despite the issue stemming from a significant omission in the product listing. The design itself is also disappointing. It would be a significant value-add to the product line if the company offered an adapter that allowed a single laser to be used across multiple training barrels. Doing so would make the system more versatile and would likely encourage customers to purchase additional training barrels without worrying about compatibility issues. Instead, customers are expected to purchase two separate lasers and switch between them depending on which barrel they are using, creating unnecessary cost and inconvenience. I genuinely want to like this product because the concept is excellent in theory, as being able to consistently train when you have limited range time is a game changer. However, it’s difficult to fully support the product when the customer experience appears to be an afterthought. The lack of clear compatibility information, the unwillingness to address the issue when it was raised, and the absence of a more versatile solution all make the system feel unnecessarily restrictive. After my experience it’s hard not get the impression that rather than focusing on maximizing long term value for customers, the current approach is to drive additional one time purchases of lasers instead of creating a more flexible ecosystem that encourages repeat business. A compatibility adapter and clearer product disclosures would go a long way toward improving both the customer experience and confidence in the product line.

It's a great system. I hadn't shot for a while, because it's winter here for like 6 months a year, and my first range trip for the year had me feeling like Barney Fife. 24 hours after getting the CoolFire gold package, I felt more like Jerry Miculek. One issue I have noticed is that I had to adjust the laser to get it on the same target as my irons and red dot, which is to be expected. The problem came after adjustment when one of the tiny laser screws came flying out. I [miraculously] was able to find it. I think that maybe it would be a good idea to ship with VC-3 fastener locker (if there's nothing better for that application that I don't know about) on those screws, or at least recommend some with the purchase. Losing those screws would be a kill-joy.

customer service is king with this company. Sandy and Boone were great. Sandy sent me numerous videos and Boone worked with me on the phone to get the system installed in my gun. I'd recommend them to anyone!
