Sailor's Arcana Tarot {Deck + Book}

I absolutely LOVE the artwork of this deck. The art gives so much meaning and is done so incredibly that it makes the cards incredibly easy to learn and understand. The theme is wonderfully matched to the story of the cards as well. An amazing job in that aspect! But the problem is the quality. The cards FEEL amazing and shuffle very well. They aren't sticky or slippery, however the paper is already peeling off the edges and corners of multiple cards. I'm extremely upset by this for the price. I'm always so careful with my cards, but these are already falling apart within a week of ordering them :( and while I do like the book and descriptions, in multiple instances, the descriptions don't seem match the card. For example, the Magician card talks about a horseshoe that is not even shown in the artwork. I also don't like that reversals are not included in the book. Also, at times the book almost reads as it was written by AI instead of a human. Another thing that bothers me is that it seems there are some Major Arcana that are missing numbers. For example, I cannot find the number 14 anywhere on the Temperance card anywhere, while the other cards have it incorporated into the art. Overall, I 100% love the artwork and the theme, but I am not impressed by the quality of the cards and disappointed by the book.

I bought this deck for my own birthday and it made me instantly happy. The combination of vivid and nostalgic cartoon drawing combines in a strange way very well with the age old symbols of Tarot. Another treasure found at Tarot Stack...
