Quick Starters

On March 6th I started 4 pods containing 3 seeds each of the Spacemaster 80 cucumbers on a heat pad and under grow lights, by March 9th all the seeds had sprouted (moved from heat pad). On March 18th the sprouts had several leaves, and I transferred them to larger peat pots. The plants are vigorous and fast growers with a healthy deep green color. Currently feeding the young plants with cooled boiled eggshell water (calcium). It is still too early in Zone 8 to transfer out, but the plants seem happy where they are for now.
