High quality build and a perfect form factor for run and gun shoots. Price point is insanely low by comparison to other brands - well worth the investment.

These embody a modern look as opposed to the 70s-80s inspired look of the Remus and Cato series. Pros: Clean but not clinical, sharp, excellent contrast with subtle horizontal breathing, cylindrical distortion, and subtle lateral and axial chromatic abberations. These are sharp wide open with a hint of the Blazar bloom; they sharpen up quickly at 2.8. I think Blazar in general does a good job of understanding the overall look they're going for and building a lens with the right balance of characteristics; these are no exception. I thought the eliptical aperture might be gimmicky, but there's a really nice balance of anamorphic qualities around it, so it works well. Cons: The build quality seems to be a step down from the Remus and Cato lenses. The focus and iris rings have a little grind to them with inconsistent resistance. There's also a slight pincushion distortion on all three lenses. It's subtle and not entirely out of place for a modern look, but it's still not my favorite.
