Planted the seeds very late in earl6y December; mixed results in the plots because of weather. Area shelded from wind had good germination; others not as good, but not a surprise, temperature

Planting Winter Rye sprouts in the winter!
I ordered late in the season here in Michigan. Sprouted the entire 40# and the weather turned into winter. I waited a week until it settled down and planted the sprouts, covered them with lots of leaf mulch and fingers crossed, hoping for the best in Spring. We shall see.
