*UPDATE*
A real wow experience. Received a call from OwlKrown’s owner, Gaston, who explained why there was a small gap between the camera’s baseplate and the SoloPlate. Not often I get such great follow up. Explanation made perfect sense and, as I mentioned, the LCD leveler will help with any small, if any discrepancies. So now consider this a great lightweight addition for my M’s.
Really a 3-1/2 Star. Good concept for a lightweight horizontal Arca Swiss bracket that's with you all the time. The slide out to keep the camera from tipping is, IMO, not really necessary. The plates (I bought 2) do not sit flush with the base plate of the M's, but with LCD leveling I don't think it matters; just not the type of tolerances I'm used to with my Leicas. Also a bit pricey, but it is for a Leica, so that's expected. If there was a version without the slide out that would be less expensive, that would be great.

The base plate complements the design beautifully and provides a practical solution for supporting heavier lenses, such as the Noctilux, while still allowing the camera to stand securely.

Stunning craftsmanship and feel.
Fits the camera like a glove, the brass is of very high quality.
And the kickstand is a winner.
