Iris Cendré is unlike anything else I own. It is not overtly masculine. It is delicate, but intentional. It feels like the first cold day of fall in Manhattan, when you are alone but not sad, walking through the park in your favorite sweater as the crisp air closes around you. A strange cucumber like veil of orris and violet powder overwhelms the senses, cool, pale and quietly alive. It is creamy without being soft, floral without being sweet, and balanced with the kind of restraint that makes you lean in closer. As it settles, tobacco and amber warm the edges and the scent becomes a Beefeater martini with a twist and a bay leaf in an oak paneled bar, the piano playing softly in the background. This might be the last autumn you spend alone, but for now you are your own best company, and that is perfectly fine, because we have New York.

I’m obsessed and I love this scent. I wish it would have some lasting power. Seem like it fades so quickly. That doesn’t stop me from wearing it however it might be a better scent in summer with more moisture onmy skin.
