WiiM Voice Remote 2

Aesthetically pleasing but fair as a control device.

I like the remote 2 more than the remote. I like that it's metal and has a good feel . The buttons are nice and have a definite click. It recharges fast and the charge hasn't needed a recharge yet. I'm happy with the battery life so far. My complaints about the remote are that it's overly simple and misses functionality. You can't navigate the wiim ultra menus with it. When listening to radio the ff/rew buttons don't change function to allow better station navigation. I'd prefer the alexa mic not be there. 8 presets is very constraining. When I use the android app I end up sucked into station scrolling that distracts me from my workflow. Corporate data harvesting practices being what they are, I am inclined to think the limited remote functionality is designed to keep users using the app. It's not a bad, remote but it's far from being a great one. That is why I give it 3 and not 4 stars.

Works great. I love the aluminum chassis's solid feel. And it's rechargeable!

Makes controlling my Wiim much easier AND it has rechargeable batteries. Great unit .
