This is the best stick I have owned, as far as stiffness and smooth operation go. It doesn't bend, fully extended, and is easy to extend and retract. It lost a star because there is no way (I can tell) to lock the segments. This won't affect normal use, but I mount it fully extended to a cart I built that rides abandoned rails. Vibration causes the two fattest segments to slip. I designed and 3D printed a bushing to hold the 2 largest segment firm which works. The rest of the segments seem to stay in place by themselves.
