These are great stake bags, very well built and lightweight. I really like how the bottom of the silpoly is reinforced with a more durable fabric to help prevent a stake from possibly poking through, although after hundreds of nights and thousands of miles with a variety of different stake bags, I have never had a stake puncture any of my bags, but it is a nice touch nevertheless. The 8.5" length securely holds a variety of stakes of various lengths- my 7.5" MSR Groundhogs slip in without a struggle. I do wish that there was a smaller size also offered- the 3" wide bag seems like overkill when all I have are 2 Mini Groundhogs and a handful of titanium hook stakes for a tarp. A 6" x 1.5"-2" wide bag for a more minimal stake kit would be a great option when all I am packing are a couple of 6" mini Groundhogs and some Ti hooks. But that isn't a complaint about the bags I purchased, just something else to add to my Wish List.
