Diplomat Viper Rollerball Pen

An attractive pen, but lighter and less solid-feeling than one might expect at this price point. The ink is smooth but more of a medium tip and flow than expected as well. Loses a star each for feeling fragile (or insubstantial, I suppose) and for the ink's tendency to smudge when wet.

​The Diplomat Viper is an excellent Rollerball. I use both fountain pens and rollerballs, and this one is exceptional. The weight is just right and it sits in your hand very comfortably. I like the fact that the refill is not proprietary so I can use many different ink colours.

​Elegant, smooth writing, well balanced and a conversation piece. And the magnetic cap is an obsession!
