Very good product. Does what is intended. However, install was tricky, and their instructions are for the Model Y, and apparently it is different for the Model 3. I installed in a 2025 Model 3 Peformance Highland. The power and data plug access is the same, but the configuration is a little different. Not a big deal. Easy to figure out for a DYI-er. Running the cable to the steering column was fine. However, that’s where it changes. The PDF and video show pulling the driver side knee/kick panel down and releasing the clips to run the cable and attach to the fish line from above. This is impossible in the Model 3. There is only one clip in the left side, and the rest is clamped in with metal tabs, you will destroy the panel and possibly damage the airbag under it if you go this route. What you have to do is pull out the lower instrument panel. Start at the left side by removing the dash panel in the door jamb, opposite of what you did to get to the wiring harness on the right side. Then remove the single “hidden” screw. After that, pull the panel horizontally back to release the clips, starting at the door jamb, just far enough to get to where the wire is at the center console. Then it’s pretty easy to find the fish wire and run the cable up the steering column from there. Last bit is, the actual leaver has lots of little plastic protrusions that are very easy to damage. They don’t show this, but you must slide it into position from just in front of the final resting spot, so the slats and protrusions slide into the existing slatted baffle holding the steering wheel. Also, you may need to flex the lower shroud to get it in. Also, I recommend not tightening any screws until all screws are in place. Otherwise if it is off just a bit, you can cross thread pretty easily. Ask me how I know… Final install looks and works great. The feel of it is a little spongy compared to OEM. No physical detent sensory feedback. But that is a minor issue. Bonus: I noticed if I disengage FSD using the stalk, I don’t get that annoying screen requiring a reason for the disengagement. I don’t know why, but huge bonus feature.
