Great shade for Model Y. Instruction video was clear and only took 20 minutes to put the unit together and install it. Love that I can have the shade open for the sky view or closed when I am parked outside for the day. Materials are good quality

Ridiculously easy to install and looks seamless

Super easy to install: all I had to do was attach the two halves with screws and it was ready to go. You insert the back tabs between the headliner and the glass first. The front tabs have a spring loaded mechanism with a pull string so you just pull the string to move the tabs out of the way. Once the back is in and secure, align the front of the sun shade and release the string that is holding the tabs back. The front tabs go into place between the glass and the headliner and you’re done! No need to install anything else after that. I didn’t even need video instructions- the installation is very intuitive. It looks really well made and blends in seamlessly with the fabric of the OEM headliner, you can’t tell it wasn’t made by Tesla. The sun shade opens and closes easily- and since it’s not mechanical, you don’t need to connect any wires. I figured the sun shade is not something I’ll need to open and close each time I’m in the car, it’s really to keep the sun out in the summer so with the sporadic operation, having a manual sun shade was just fine with me.

1. Delivery took too long, over a month from china. 2. Installation link does not match with the actual product. 3. Installation itself is not hard. It comes with 2 pieces, you combine the 2 with the small screws in the package. The hard part is to mount it. There are 2 "tongs" at front and 2 at the back. You need to get them in between the glass roof and trim. You should insert the rear first, then work the front, i felt the front tong is not long enough, i had trouble putting them in. After a while, it got in. But i am afraid it will fall down. Only time will tell.
