Well-made product

The round hood is a well-made product. In particular I would mention that it allows for great peripheral vision. I have had one issue, and that is that I have been stung on the tip of my nose twice when I leaned down to pick up a box on the ground and the mesh touched my nose, allowing a bee to hit me. I prefer the fencing-style hood for that reason.

This hood is a perfect fit for the jacket and gives me great visibility. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a round hood.

Round hood review

When using the round hood, it works fine for srraight-on work around the apiary. However, when looking upwards, i.e. working on a swarm, the hood doesn't stay in place even though it initially fits snugly. Also, when working looking downward, the screen material gets against the face and neck, allowing bees to sting. I've tried wearing a cap to help hold the material away, with little benefit. It seems some type of support on the front of the hood could be integrated into the front of the hood to keep it away from the face and neck.
