This was my first time purchasing a mat, so I was specifically looking for something high-quality that would provide extra support for my knees during mat Pilates. This mat exceeded my expectations—it’s incredibly comfortable and exactly what I needed. The size is also perfect, especially since I’m a bit taller. I'm absolutely thrilled with my new mat. I was definitely looking for more room, but I'm glad I got the extra thickness as well. My practice deepened the first time I got on the mat. It was incredible on concrete; warm, giving, supportive, spacious. The texture is unobtrusive and great for digging in without slipping. I've been through cork, natural rubber, foam. I even made the Franken-mat, with layers for different needs. It smelled like latex and weighed 15lbs. I keep it rolled up for company, now.
