In 1836
There was a siege in Texas called the Alamo. Shortly thereafter Texan defenders adopted the Texas Declaration of Independence, creating the separate nation of the Republic of Texas. 1836 evokes that complex year. Not fruity, nor floral, nor woody, it smells as intricate as the beginning of the Nation of Texas. With tenacity and independence, it endures.
