I'd buy a size up. My kid is 50th% and it's probably only gonna last her a couple of weeks or so. See not until she's 6m. I bought 3 diff onesies, two were 3-6 (she's 4m old) and one 6-9. The 3-6 is already tight on her. So I'd recommend sizing up if you have an average or larger than average kiddo.
