Sour Grape

I was fishing a shallow lake, not far from my home in South Louisiana where the water temperature was 89°. The fish were so lethargic, they wouldn’t even hit live minnows, so I downsized to a 1/48 ounce chartreuse jig head and put a sour grape Lil Bit on it, and immediately started catching fish. Almost all of the fish in the picture I shared were caught on that jig, and that was the only jig they’d hit.

Used my 2d sonar on clear view .Found the crappie on a cedar tree it looked like . Turned on my live scope and caught these in just an hour or so. The sour grape is my favorite and the itty bitty sour grape minnow jigs are excellent. The crappie loved them as they would swim to it and take it . What a thrill and 5 stars from me.

With water temperatures getting hotter as summer progresses, the catch more bait little bit, proves to be an ideal size for the finicky fish.
