Haven't put them on yet
I had a tip break on my Distance Carbon Z poles last fall and learned that they have unique tips that were out of stock at the time. Several months later and voila, I get an email from Black Diamond that the product has been restocked. My poles will live.

Lighter touch = faster!
The nice thing about these tips is they “grab” vs. skate off everything you plant them on - wet roots, slick rocks, aluminum grating, rotten logs, talus, etc. The difference is like changing to skinny tires on a bike; it’s more efficient and confidence building to hike with Tech Tips.
