Great knife
Super impressed with this northerner, it fits great in the hand and is very robust but still has a profile perfect for pocket carry. I’ve never owned anything in magnacut until now and shows the level of thought put into its design and the environments where this knife is built to thrive. Really looking forward to adding another piece from North edge to my collection.

The Northerner cuts.
Fills the hand but is still compact and pocketable enough at under 8” OAL. 3” magnacut blade is sufficient to say the least. The high grind is nice for passing through material. The blasted finish is smooth and reduces friction. Expertly-chamfered natural linen micarta handles have a beautiful subtle texture on the flats. I threw a glow lanyard on there because it looks cool; the handle is plenty of grip for me. Added a mummert clip to the kydex sheath and it’s a pocket do-all fixed blade. Dustin’s kydex work is as good as it gets, too: satisfying click upon entry followed by perfectly noiseless retention. A great companion knife or even EDC, the northerner surprised me at how versatile and wieldy it is. It’s been good company so far, along with the backpacker. Much obliged!
