Solid sturdy bench but benches don’t fit snugly under table so not so compact

Solid sturdy bench. Only issue is the benches do not fit neatly under the table. This is because the benches are as long as the table and table legs prevent them from sliding underneath it neatly. So not so compact as advertised.
