ARO® Aluminum Single Dose Hopper | Compatible with Breville/Sage Oracle Jet and Oracle Dual Boiler

Looks great, just couldn’t get it to agree with my machine 😔

I really wanted to love this little guy as it’s a high quality unit and it looks so nice, but sadly I just don’t think the single dose hopper is suitable for my Oracle Jet 😔 I’m probably doing something wrong, but no matter how many grams of beans I weigh out, or how many times I’ve cleaned the chute and checked the hopper was installed properly, my Oracle Jet struggles to recognise once it’s ground enough beans for a shot and when it’s time to tamp down. It seems to rely too heavily on the weight of the beans in the standard hopper to push beans down through the grinder and complete the tamping process. I have wasted many a bean trying to get it working 😔 It’s such a shame, as it looks much nicer than the standard hopper.

Great addition to the Jet

My main issue with the Oracle Jet was the inconsistency of the auto-grind and tamp. With a variance of +/- 1g and a fixed 22g dose, getting consistent shots was a struggle. After switching to the ARO Single Dose Hopper, the experience has completely changed. The metal hopper feels premium and fits the machine perfectly. My retention dropped from 0.3–0.6g down to nearly zero (0.2g max). While I now include a manual tamp to avoid adjusting the Jet’s internal fan, the results speak for themselves: my shot timings now vary by only a second, whereas they used to swing by 5–10 seconds. My only minor concern is the durability of the 3D-printed ring, as it feels like it could break if handled frequently. Overall, this hopper solves the Jet's biggest consistency issues, and I highly recommend it.

That beautiful sound!

Top product and a clear elevation of the Oracle Jet. The metallic mechanical sound when you pour in the beans is almost worth the whole thing - quality is top tier. The bellows work great as measuring cup but also clearly does the job of blowing in the remaining grinds. Only thing I would chance here is the ARO logo ending up at the front of the machine but that’s just esthetics. .
