Quality exceeded my expectations

Received the bundle with the 49mm step down basket, tamper, puck screen, spring and tamping stand. The quality of the pieces was better than I expected. The flow rate of the reduced flow basket allowed me to grind a little courser and through pressure profiling, create different flavour profiles with greater consistency than with a regular 18g basket. Very pleased with the purchase.

More than I expected

This basket fits about 24 grams of my light roast. I’m able to get beautifully fruity yet sweet shots with little effort and a very course grind size almost twice as course as I’ve been using for a Pesado HE basket with 22g and much easier to dial in. The accessories don’t fit my Rocket portafilter or my mh3-bomber shaker well. But that’s a very minor complaint. Fully recommend this step down basket over the normcore step down and prefer to the Peasado or VST 22g standard baskets.

Not bad, still needs work

Little too much capacity (well over 22g) and the ramp down from 58 to 49 should really *be* the funnel so it doesn't require the special dosing ring. Dosing ring o-ring doesn't secure firmly inside the basket making it easy to fall out and the dosing ring lip is not compatible with other porta filter accessories like the Weber magic shaker or other taller dosing rings. Ideally the dosing ring should present itself on the top lip to look exactly like a 58mm porta filter and there should be a few options for dosing ring height.
