The Rob Roy V2 - Navy

Great pants!

I ordered a pair or the Rob Roy V2 pants and think they are great. They have side pockets that are well blended in and not bulky. They fit my iPhone perfectly and are also a great spot to drop my key fob for my truck. The fit is nice and comfortable with plenty of room to move.

The pants fit well and feel like they’ll last a long time. They do feel fairly plastic-y. I know they’re synthetic but they don’t breathe terribly well. I think they’ll be good in colder weather but they stayed pretty sweaty in 70-70 degree weather. I’d love to see the lighter weight pants with the same design as these.

So many useful pockets!

The fit of these is perfect for me, and the built in belt adjustment is great for dialing it in that final half-inch. With so many pockets, I think I'm going to lose stuff in there. The side knife pockets are big enough to get a multi-tool into - my ROCKTOL SK05 is quite large, and just fits in there (without its pouch). The phone pockets are convenient, but it's easy for things to fall out (a phone with a rubberized case may increase the friction to keep it in place). The inner zip pockets solve this problem too though, but the zips can be hard to use from some angles. The back pockets have the combination of easy access and a bit of security to stop things falling out.
