Overall, my kids like using GB handwriting; the activities are fun and engaging, and it is helping them learn cursive. I like the "follow the rainbow dots" approach in the lower levels, and I like how Biblical and academic content are integrated into the upper level practice. I also like the little activities at the bottom of each page. The upper levels (level 4 and up) seem pretty appropriate for reinforcing cursive, but the lower levels (mainly level 3) could use more repetition and mastery skills (less spiraling). I think kids should focus on one or two letters per lesson and master those letters before moving on to the next letter, and they should learn all the lowercase letters first, before attempting the uppercase letters - that would seem a bit less overwhelming. Also, I would not include print letters in level 3; just focus on learning cursive.

Excellent use of scripture and incorporating good pieces of writing to copy as they learn to perfect their cursive. My son who has horrible penmanship in printing typically has had beautifully written handwriting in his level 6 book.

I love the cursive handwriting workbooks from The Good and the Beautiful. My 7th grade son started with the Level 6 one and does well and will move to the Level 7 one. I love the phrases, sentences and words he has to copy in them - Bible based. Thank You.
