Heel nippers...
Love the look, love the Origin story, but the boots caused some blisters on my heels. Under foot, the boots are soft and comfy for initial break-in, if a little wallowy and less stable feeling. Size wide is still a little snug, and the 10.5 is a hair short but not small, and neither dimension really any different than most other moc toes I've worn. Though, I'm not sure there's enough room in the shoe to swap insoles for aftermarket units. After breaking them in, they still left me with blisters after only a few miles.
Lest anyone jump to the conclusion that I have soft, girly-man feet, I'm on my feet 60-80 hours a week working at my shop or on a job. In the wintertime, I'm shod with a 6" boot much akin to this moc toe, and have burned through a half dozen pair of boots in the last decade (and at least twice that number in "sturdy" summer time shoes). My typical routine is to wear my new boots for a few months as "Sunday boots" around the house, to church, around the neighborhood, on dates on the weekend, etc. Once they feel broken in, I take em to work. I didn't even get these to the shop. After three or four months of casual wear, it only took a couple of miles of walking uphill from a concert to a parking lot to rub blisters in to my heels. It's been years - if not a decade or two - since I've had blisters on my feet from a new set of boots, so I was quite surprised. I would add some pictures of them, but nobody wants to see my gross feet (and I'm not going to satiate the weirdos that do..). So they are sitting quietly in the corner like a scolded dog.
To be a critic, they could use a little more stability underfoot, including some better arch support. But keep pushing forward, Origin.
