Mythic Punch on your Lanyard
One blast on the OG Dubar Single Reed, and the whole marsh froze like it just heard something from the old gods. Artemis leaned in like, “Alright mortal, show me what you’ve got.”
The first note rolled out and the entire marsh went still. Birds froze mid-flight like someone cut the power to nature itself. Even the weeds stopped rustling, as if they knew something sacred just entered the chat.
This call doesn’t sound handmade.
It sounds bestowed.
Like it was forged at midnight in a quiet grove where only the wild things are allowed to breathe.
When I throw a greeting call, ducks don’t circle.
They obey.
They drop in with the urgency of creatures who suddenly remember they answer to a higher authority.
The soft rasp on the low end feels like a whisper from the forest.
The top-end scream? That’s the kind of sound that echoes through ancient myths right before a heroic montage starts.
Using it feels less like calling ducks and more like participating in an age-old ritual. One that commands respect. One where the wild itself nods in approval.
The OG Dubar isn’t a tool.
It’s a summoning horn of the hunt, disguised as a single reed.
If you’re not ready for that level of power, stick to a kazoo.
If you are… the birds won’t stand a chance.
