Disappionting fit & poor sizing guidance

I was excited to try the Bailaz HempVibe sneakers, but unfortunately, they fall well short when it comes to both fit and sizing transparency. The biggest issue is that the HempVibe appears to be built on a narrow last. Despite being marketed as “true to size,” the fit is noticeably restrictive across the forefoot. This isn’t just my experience—other customers have also commented that they “could be a bit wider.” For anyone who doesn’t have naturally narrow feet, this is a significant problem. In practice, the tightness becomes more pronounced during movement, which is exactly when a dance sneaker needs to perform best. What’s even more frustrating is the lack of meaningful width information. The product page points to a generic “standard width” size guide but provides no actual guidance on foot width—no measurements, no charts, and no indication of whether the shoe runs narrow, medium, or wide. Given how critical proper fit is for comfort and injury prevention, this feels like a major oversight. Even more confusing is the inclusion of an “Arctic – Wide Fit” model, which suggests the brand recognises the importance of width. However, even this so-called wide-fit range lacks clear instructions for measuring your foot width or determining whether you should choose it. Overall, the sizing guidance across the range feels inconsistent, vague, and incomplete. Summary: • Fits more like a narrow shoe despite being labelled “standard” • No foot-width guidance in the sizing chart • Even the wide-fit option lacks proper measurement advice For a product aimed at dancers—where comfort, stability, and precise fit are essential—this lack of clarity is unacceptable. After just one hour of salsa, I had to take them off. Unless you have narrow feet, buying these feels like a gamble.

A very good product. The sneakers look good. They are true to size, not too heavy and good to dance in. They could be slightly wider, but i still love them.
