RENEGADE EVO GTX LO - OLIVE/BEIGE

Look nice, upper fits great and sturdy. True to size, but if using different insoles the heel cup and back of shoe don’t fit properly, easy to slide my heel out even though laced and tied like normal. NOT very comfortable to walk in or stand around in all day. Very firm. Tried different insoles(lowa, SOF, 10 seconds memory foam, Superfeet), padded socks, still very hard after a week of steady use. Thoroughly diappointed after my Lowa zephyr boots were great for 6 years and ordered a new pair to replace them. wore my uniform boots all over and wanted a pair of good hiking/walking shoes so not using my uniform boots for everything. Sadly, these make me just want to take them off and go barefoot. EDIT: after about 3 weeks, decent. Still firm but not uncomfortable. Not sure if they or my feet broke in, but they’re ok. short hike through the woods with a couple of creek crossings; waterproof held up well when i slipped and dunked one foot. that said, still don’t think worth the money.
