Mahoney Parabolic Shear Shaper

My first Carter and sons tool.

This is the first tool I've purchased from Carter and sons. I'm blown away by the quality and craftsmanship that is apparent the second that you see it and pick it up. Outstanding tool .

I love C&S tools

I think this is my 5th tool from these excellent folks. I love their steel. I bought the Mahoney Parabolic Shear Shaper because I find parabolic fluted gouges easier to sharpen than a vee. I also prefer Stuart Batty's 40/40 and Richard Raffan's asymmetrical grinds to the Mahoney but it's easily changed. It's a good tool. I'm sure it will last a while. Happy turning!

Great Bowl Gouge

This is a beautiful bowl gouge, it came very sharp and ready to use. I have two other tools from Carter and Sons and I love them both.
